Club News:
Jim Pollard will begin to serve as the club president this year. He has a message to share with every member. "Welcome to our 2009 tournament year. I’m looking forward to a great year of fishing and hope we all catch a bunch of nice fish. My thanks to John Kirkland for his three years of super service as president. He will be a hard act to follow. Thanks also to the officers from last year and those who will be serving this year. I look forward to serving with you. I encourage all ACBC members to come out for our first meeting this year and to participate to the maximum extent possible in all 2009 tournaments."
The following members will be serving as officers/directors for 2009. Brian Kitchen is Vice President. Roberto Ruiz is Treasurer. Darryl Smith is Secretary. The directors are Harold Barnett, Tom Clark, Stan Evans, Tom McVan and ex-president John Kirkland will serve as a director for one year.
Annual dues are due once again and will be collected at the January meeting. Twelve dollars covers the entire year. Membership in the Texas Association of Bass Clubs is $20.00 per year and is encouraged because ACBC has been a member of this organization during the past several years.
Fishing Report:
Several members have been to Lake Bastrop and they caught fish but it was slow. Winter fishing often means we have to slow down and use our electronics more to locate fish. I hope to see you at the upcoming meeting.
