Club News:

Plans are being made for club members to participate in the annual Round Rock Amputee Fishing Trip to Lake Bastrop.  The date will be May 23, 2009, which is the Saturday following our club tournament in May.  Mark you calendars!

Don’t forget about your annual dues if you haven’t paid them.  I will send out a new club roster after the February meeting showing current contact information for club members.

The first Saturday in March (7th) is the first Couples Club tournament on Fayette County Lake.  The couples will meet at 6:30am at McDonald’s in La Grange for breakfast.  If you need more information or want to participate, please call Art Cruser at 258-0496.  He is the tournament director for the Couples Club this year.

Fishing Reports:

Numerous club members have fished Fayette County recently and caught some quality fish and in some cases they have caught a stringer of 5 fish that would have exceeded 20 pounds.   At least one member has fished Lake Bastrop recently and caught a limit of fish within the first hour of the day by fishing a spinner bait along the dam.  As the warm weather continues to raise the water temperature this month, fish will begin to spawn on certain lakes.  Don’t miss the upcoming meeting or the next tournament because it is a great time of the year to catch a big bass.
