Fishing Reports:

I know it is hot and the bite of often tough, but there are fish that can still be caught.  I have fished both Lake Buchanan and Lake Austin at night recently and the fishing was slow on both lakes although I didn’t get skunked.  Conditions were nice and that is why I went fishing at night.  I will tell you that fishing and navigating the upper end of Lake Austin during the summer can be a real challenge.  The cold water that was released from Lake Travis caused a thick fog over the water and cut visibility to a dangerous level because there was no breeze to blow the fog away.  Any good fishing report that I have read recently usually reports the fish were caught deep and a slow presentation was what the fish wanted.  Hang in there!  Summer will be over soon.  See you all at the upcoming meeting.
