Couples Club Results:

The Couples Club fished Lake LBJ on June 7th from 7 AM till 12PM.  This was the final tournament for the spring schedule.  It was a windy day which made fishing in open water basically impossible, and it was hard to find protected water to fish. However, at least one couple did manage to have a decent day, making a smart decision to finish up in the area around the launch and catching two nice fish there. Melba and Ken won this one with 4 fish weighing 11.27 lbs. “Big Bass” Rose again managed to have big bass for the tournament with a nice 4 pounder. The couples participating had lunch and weigh-in at Chili’s Restaurant in Marble Falls.  The Fall session will start on September 27th at lovely Decker Lake.  The following is the report/standings:

Fishing Report:

Bring your fishing report to the upcoming meeting and share it with everyone this Thursday evening.  You may enjoy this fishing report from Tom Clark.  “My son, David, invited us to join them in the annual Cinco Ranch Father’s Day Fishing Tounament.  Our team was named “Reel Fun”.  There was a good sized neighborhood pond with about 30 teams represented.  There were no team trophies based on fishing, which was kind of strange.  Only one trophy was handed out.  There was a big fish award and I ended up with it.  I caught a 22 inch (mouth closed) bass.  I was very surprised to catch such a quality bass out of a neighborhood pond.  I caught 4 of our 8 bass.  David caught 2 and David’s father-in-law caught 2.  I caught 2 early on a red rattletrap over some grass and then caught the big one and another bass at the edge of the grass later in the morning.  We won the “spirit award” and got a $50.00 gift card which we promptly used for lunch.  My grandson, Hudson, is in the picture with me.”
