February 2016 Meeting and Tournament:

Our February meeting will be on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 7:00pm at Pok-e-Jo’s Smokehouse on Parmer Lane. Our February tournament will be on Saturday, February 20, 2016.  Come early and enjoy some great BBQ and fellowship.

Club News:

Club dues and other fees are due if you did not pay them in January. If you want to be a member of the Texas Assn. of Bass Clubs (TABC) or if you plan to fish in the TABC Top 8 Tournament in September, you need to pay your annual TABC dues of $20.

Our annual garage sale is planned for March 12th at Brian Kitchen’s residence.  Please contact Brian if you have items to donate to the garage sale.

We plan to take the children from the Round Rock Children’s Home fishing at Decker Lake on Tuesday, March 15th.  We will have a sign up list at the upcoming meeting for riggers and non-riggers who would like to participate in this event.

Fishing Report:

The weather is really great for February, but the fishing has been tough, even for the Retiree Club participants when they fished Fayette County on February 11th.  The best news is Lake Travis should be great this year and the spawn should be starting soon.  Jim Pollard provided the picture below of a 20.5” bass he caught recently at Lake Travis, probably from his back yard (I see his neighbor’s boat dock in the background).  I hope to see all of you at the upcoming meeting.
