Club News:

Next month, we will not have a monthly club meeting due to the November travel tournament at Choke Canyon Reservoir.  It is not too late to go if you want to fish a great lake.  We currently have 11 teams planning to fish the travel tournament.  Our last club meeting will be December 1, 2016, and we will fish our last tournament of the year on December 3, 2016.

Proposed Change in the Club Bylaws:

Section II. Annual Awards of the bylaws states in II.4, The “Johnny Mayes Sportsmanship Award” will be presented at the annual banquet to the club member receiving the most votes cast in a secret ballot at the December meeting. It has been proposed by Steve Moore and supported by a show of hands during the September club meeting that this annual award be renamed the “Al Lykins Sportsmanship Award”.  Further discussion and voting will be conducted at the upcoming meeting.  Section II.5 states, The “Back Seater of the Year” award will be presented to the club member amassing the greatest poundage of fish in club tournaments as a “non-rigger” in that calendar year.”  It has also been proposed by Steve Moore and supported by a show of hands during the September club meeting that this annual award be renamed the “T.V. Minner Back Seater of the Year” award.  Further discussion and voting will be conducted at the upcoming club meeting to determine if these proposed changes to the bylaws will be made.
