April 2018 Meeting and Tournament:

Our April meeting will be on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 7:00pm at Pok-e-Jo’s Smokehouse on Parmer Lane. Our April tournament will be on Saturday, April 21, 2018.  Come enjoy the fellowship and some great BBQ.

Club News:

C.A.S.T. for Kids is planned for May 5th and riggers can go online to register as a boat captain. I encourage all of you to participate in a very organized and enjoyable event that benefits some very special kids. We will pair up non-riggers with participating riggers at the upcoming meeting.

Don’t miss fishing this month because it will probably be the best time of the year to go fishing.

Fishing Reports:

I have not seen the results of the recent Retiree Club tournament on Decker Lake, but I know Art Cruser and Gary Burnham won the tournament with 10 fish weighing 32.91 pounds and Gary caught the biggest bass that weighed 8.50 pounds (See picture below). Although it was super windy last Saturday and the bite was tough, I caught a 6.50 pound bass at Lake Travis. I think the fish are biting everywhere right now so plan to catch a big one.   I will see you at the meeting Thursday evening.
